Winter Fuel Payments Set for Expansion, But Universal Access Off the Cards
More pensioners in the UK are about to get access to winter fuel payments, Chancellor Rachel Reeves has confirmed. The payments, worth £200-£300, will no longer be limited to just those on Pension Credit. However, the government will stick with means-testing instead of bringing back universal access for all pensioners.
